June K. Berg 1990

This page with a daily brief message of HOPE, is based for the most part, on the inspirations of  ten (10) little books from June's personal Library and on the Bible. June possessed a strong Christian faith in God and her library reflected that faith. June has a personal Christian library of well over one hundred (100) books that include Bibles, Bible references, and books of and on her Christian Faith. Her favorite authors were Billy Graham, Max Lucado, Charles Swindoll and Helen Steiner Rice. June loved the subject of Angels. She had a collection of Angel dolls and figurines...over 20 of them...they held/hold court throughout our home at 6025 Gardena Lane. June had/has three wall mountings of Angels...an Angel plate, an Angel  figurine in the home entryway, and a framed picture of Angels with Angel verse quotations. Four (4) of June's books, including one by Billy Graham, are on the subject of Angels. June herself, had many personal qualities of an Angel.

"June's Faith - Crossing Over - The Unseen World"

June was not one to dwell in despair over life's shortcomings. I remember this being true even during the early years of her Alzheimer's journey. June always seemed optimistic about life...more optimistic than I was in those days and times. I recall one day when I was going through a period of grief while reflecting on the future and the changes seen in June's life, she detected my concern for her.  June's consoling response to me was:

"Don't  Worry  About  Me  Stan,  I'll  be  all right!" -

I am sure however, at the time, we both knew otherwise.

The ten (10)  key books from June's library that are the inspiration for this daily message of Hope are: "Day by Day with Billy Graham" (1976), (Inside cover is inscribed from me to June for Easter 1977.), "One More Day" - (1988) - Sefra K. Pitzele, "The Bible Promise Book" (1990), "Praying With The Psalms" (1993) - Eugene H. Peterson, -  The Angels' Little Instruction Book" (1994) - Eileen Elias Freeman,  "Jesus the Gift of Hope" - (1995) Ken Abraham, "Promises from God's Word" (1996) Livingstone Corporation,  "On Hope"  (1996) H. Jackson Brown Jr. (A  Life's Little Treasure Book.), "The Silver Book of Hope" (1999), and "Hope for Each Day, Words of Wisdom and Faith "- (2002) Billy Graham. While these books are the main inspiration for the daily messages, other books from June's library are utilized when appropriate. Any direct quotations are credited. All Bible quotations are from the original 1611 King James Version unless otherwise indicated.  It is my intention to change the below "Meditation" and quotations on a daily basis. (All references and quotations  in the "Daily Meditation"  and the "Words of Wisdom, Faith and Hope"  below, will always be from June's personal library.)

Note: After battling Alzheimer's for almost 11 years, an exhausted June was finally called to her heavenly home by God on October 23rd, 2008, just 16 days short of her 81st birthday.

John 14:2 (KJV):

“in my father’s house are many mansions...I go to prepare a place for you...”

June's funeral notice as published in the Minneapolis Star in October 2008 can be seen on this website under the "In Memoriam" label -   Click on:
